The unexpected and untimely demise of Steve Irwin, aka "The Crocodile Hunter," shocks and saddens all of us with ties to the animal kingdom. He was a great conservationist, and had a passion for what he was doing that was rare. Steve kind of turned himself into a living stereotype of the risk-taking wildlife expert, and made Aussie expressions such as "crikey!" part of the language. Whether you loved him or loved to hate his outrageousness, Steve Irwin was one of a kind. He will be sorely missed...
